>>106520241 (OP) >more games are being made by indians >only 15% of game hours on steam in 2024 were spent on games made in 2024
weird. I wonder what could be causing people to chose older games

I hope they crash and burn. They milked GTA 5 for three (3) generation of consoles. The gap between GTA 3 and GTA: San Andreas was three fucking years and no shit covered hands touched the games.

Look at all the seething cumskin basedboys. KEK.
That probably means your lazy asses aren't skillful enough to work on bleeding edge gaming technology with a ton of breakthroughs. You already started crapping on a game that HASN'T even been released just because indians make you feel insecure.

Well, the most played game in history by far is minecraft which occupies a niche which you cannot compete easily. I would sat that majority of those game-hours are spent on minecraft. and will continue to be spent there going forward.
rdr 2 was on of the most boring games i ever played, the most fun thing in like 10 hours of playtime was opposum pretending to be dead after i missed him
>>106521092 >only 15% of game hours on steam in 2024 were spent on games made in 2024
given that the number of games made in 2024 is FAR less than 15% of the number of games ever made, doesn't that actually show that 2024 games did pretty well in 2024?
>>106525627
it just shows that most people play shit like cs go and dota since matches in these shit games are like 50 minutes long and other similiar live service trash and don't touch other games for long and not that older single-player games are more popular
>>106525659 >>106525668
How can you say that when you haven't got a number from 20 years ago to compare against? I remember PCs becoming obsolete much faster than today, so if I had to guess I'd say playtime of games from 2005 in 2005 were less than 15% of total playtime. But no one will ever know because the data is not there.
>>106525758
if most people didn't play live-service then every company wouldn't try to make the next fortnite. And i very much doubt it was 15% in 2005, because these years actually had a lot of good games. I couldn't name you 5 games that came out in 2024 unironically.
>>106525758 >>106525765 >>106525804
the only way 2005 only had a 15% play rate is if people were playing 2004 games since 2004 had halo 2, half life 2 and san andres and the only games that really would have competed with that in 2005 would have been Resident Evil 4 and god of war, but that has more to do with 2004 being a super strong year than anything else.
2024 was dogshit when it came to games, just like most years in the post h1b world of gaming
>>106525890 >post h1b world
so, what, like 2020? indians suck but idk why you people act like they've been ruining everything for more than a few years
>>106526188
h1b fraud has been an issue for more than the past 4 years. it was an issue in the 2016 election with both trump and clinton saying they wanted to reform it and that faggot sanders saying he wanted to let every last indian in
