afaik there is no "CODEX" crack that runs on wine, so you end up in a situation where only the DRM version works
I can think of anno 1700 and dmc hd collection as examples, but it's a fairly large group, and it can't be the only one

Steam won't properly handle all the needed redists and prefixes that way tho, can't blame wintards, the troonix community keep trolling them giving that useless advice since ages ago instead of more widely recommended retard-proof solutions like heroic that will do everything automatically, and it NEEDS to be automated, windows users can't follow basic instructions.

you can add different game instances, their paths, different versions of wine, any other custom prefixes, libraries or gamemode/mangohud/etc, and then have a comfy interface where you can launch any of your games, even steam/epic/gog/heroic/etc ones.

since I use dwm I just bind my games to shortcuts, but if I weren't using a wm, I'd use lutris.

Windows 11 pro is still objectively better for gaming than Linux. That's a fact and I say that as someone who has been primarily using Linux for 4 years now.
However, Linux is good enough that I can live with any shortcomings. VRR works. HDR works. Response times are identical.
