I know nobody is going to actually take what I say into consideration, and this thread is just going to be screeching, but here are some real-world things that you can do to preserve your usual workflow.

Ungoogled chromium actively still supports manifest version 2. So you can still install the ad blockers with full spectrum capabilities that you wish as well as Clover X and ViolentMonkey.

There is a manifest version 3 port of ubllock Origin. It's the original ublock Origin and it has all the capabilities of the manifest version 2 version.

You can switch to Brave, which still supports Manifest Version 2. I'm not going to get into the politics of Brave. I don't personally recommend it, but some people here do. Make your own choice.

You can switch to Firefox. Again, this is controversial for people who typically use Chrome. I'm not going to get into the politics here. I don't personally use it. But a lot of people do, and they don't have issues.

Because firefox has been completely unusable as an actual daily use browser since the "quantum" version change that broke everything and made it all worse and there just isn't any other competent web browser(and everything else is based off of chrome anyway lmao).

turns out if you have something open source and fund/prop it up hard enough that it becomes a standard it's basically impossible to actually dethrone since everyone else will just take that open source, tweak it and go "yes we're competing look at us!" while packaging something that's 99% identical under the hood.

Completely false. It's pre-installed on almost every single brand of smartphone in EU.
>dumbest cope ever when edge and ie is on every windows device
Yeah, and Edge is also very popular because people don't change defaults.
I guess you're just too underage to remember that Chrome was bundled with almost every single piece of 3rd party software for Windows over 10 years ago, and that the home page of Google (which almost everyone used) advertised it as "the fastest browser ever" back when most people actually did go out of their way to install anything that's not Internet Explorer. Ever since then people just stuck with it because browsers other than Firefox faded into irrelevancy, and Firefox itself has zero marketing and pre-install presence outside of Linux distros.

Why didn't the OG devs do this if it's so easy? Downloading some random fork is sketchy as fuck. Are you talking about lite?

I already went over to Firefox, personally I don't trust Google not to do even more faggot shit in the future. I'm even willing to pay for a browser that isn't Chromium, Safari or Firefox at this point; Like it's 1990.
