Now im cleaning the screen elements using some isopropyl. I have noticed the white screen appears to have an adhesive ring on both sides to hold thing thing together. Removing this sorta ruins the adhesive.

Everything is pretty clean. I'll now reassemble.

Foam adhesive is going down. I applied by scraping in on with fine tip tweezers.

Shiz I used is called foam2foam. Its made for model airplane, not items but it should work.

Ok its glued back together. But this sorta looks like shit. Is that really any better than being full or earwax? Maybe i can clean it up a bit under a magnifyer.

The left iem is quieter. Its not a big deal to pull the screen off and rub away the rubber cement type glue to redo it.. i think I did a messier glue job on thay one.

I feel the volume still isn't as loud as my newer zero 2s. I can still make it plenty loud with my EPZTP50 but with high output mode I still need to have the volume cranked quite high.. I think these are just a little worn out. EZPTP50 also has L/R balance adjusent so I was able to adjust for the quieter L iem. I dont need to trash these iems. I like the zero2 better.

Behold! My most expensive iem at about $80. Its the CCA C16. 7ba +1DD. This one isnt sold anymore but an updated version is currently for sale.

Its actually my least favorite. This sucks. Dont buy it. No amount of EQ tweaking could make my music sound pleasing with this. Perhaps its more useful to musicians in professional settings. Oh well. My curiosity got the best of me.

I do think it sounds ok for gaming for some reason. Its gets some use by me for a little gaming sesh here and there.

Hey /iemg/, I'm looking to get a new pair of IEMs. I'm currently running Kefine Kleans, but they're already to suffer from imbalance and the infamous moisture problems. I'm looking for a new pair:

- Around $100 range
- Neutral sound but with the ability to EQ the bass up. I listen to a lot of metal but on occasion listen to EDM and like to turn the bass up on my Kleans
- To be used primarily for music and videos

I don't know much about TRN but on the VX Pro it's really apparent they spent a lot of time designing, tuning and tweaking the imaging on them. A) Look at the frequency response graph. It's telling you about the tonality, which is the major predictor for how you will perceive the sound quality.
B) Consider fit, build, accessories and other variables versus competition at the price point
C) Consider availability, warranty, customer support, etc.
D) Ignore what some random person online says about it. You have no idea what their: source equipment is, what music tracks they are listening to, what their preferences are for how they prefer sound to be tilted, what reference equipment they have which at least somewhat validates their listening impressions, what ear tips they used, what level of secure fit and seal they even achieved, etc.
In a few short words: You should demo and listen to IEMs at higher price points so you don't make a mistake purchasing something that ends up not how you had hoped.
It's pretty redundant to constantly type all that out as you can image.

Even then, there are considerations of unit variation and quality assurance, which again goes back to warranty and customer support. You make a baseless claim that products have 0 warranty which is false. Some companies and distributors do in fact take care of customers with professionalism.

Before any schizos start having a meltdown, of course my top 5 is subjective and my own personal preference.
1) Artpical Blue Planet - IDK why Musicteck lists it for 1.1k when Singapore's msrp converts to just 1k. Anyways best planar I've heard with none of the shitty treble peaks like cheaper chifi stuff.

2) Mysticraft Myth - if Lee decides to keep the Canjam tuning it's going to be a budget Elysian X for under a thousand bucks. Pretty much my default go-to rec for entry kilobucks going forward.

3) Softears Twilight - my favourite warm-fi 1DD set. I like it over the Moondrop Illustrious, Dita Mecha, Nightjar Singularity etc.

4) Tangzu Xuanwu Gate - pretty rare to find a bass-lite airy treble set in chifi-land. Pretty much a budget Helios.

5) Thieaudio Hype 10 - it's the most balanced take of Thieaudio's house sound and I like it more than their Monarchs, Prestiges, and Valhalla.

Was thinking of buying a used FiiO Snowsky Echo Mini(it was 42$); until the realization hit me that I prefer to create my own playlist and with Echo Mini not having much customization in that department, it's just a glorified shuffle machine.
