Sensor is slightly bigger on the main camera on the Pro than the base.
Also, it's not $799 for base. It's $830 for unlocked. So the difference is actually $270.

Yeah they do that too.
It's really because no one wants to carry around two devices, and they don't actually care about taking photos anyway, they just can't stand the thought that there's something better than what they have out there.

MTP/PTP fucks over Android so much that it wouldn't even matter if you had USB2 or USB3 unless you're just plugging in an external drive into your phone which is genuinely the only justification for one or the other
Fucking nightmare every time trying to drag and drop my 130GB music collection with the "Device is busy" bullshit I have no idea what the actual progress is because of that. It's better just to use LocalSend or even run Syncthing for that shit wirelessly.
I've actively avoided trying to use wired transfer on Android for batch jobs like that because of how Android handles this shit. Maybe one or two files that's fine whatever but even then it's not that bad.
And wired transferring on iOS is useless too because it doesn't even act like a storage device it's for the most part iTunes only which is gay and why I'll never take iShart devices seriously. And Airdrop, iCloud Drive, or an app's jank workaround by hosting a FTP server beats the fuck out of using something outdated like iTunes

Tethering 5g at full speed with a device without wifi6/7.
Sure the industry wants to get rid of all wired communications. It is easier to get cutting edge wireless routers and have 5gbps out of a 10gbps fiber connection. 10gbe is still elitist at this point.

>Are these features worth the extra $300 ?
If you're gonna buy an iphone, yes.

The only thing "worth" doing is to get a $250-400 flagship killer/midrange android phone, that will get you 90% of what a $1000+ phone gets you. When you're getting a new iphone you're already wasting a lot for money.

Why pay $1400 for that iphone 17 (you dont have a SD card slot so you "need" 512GB), already wasting $1000+ for "premium product" only to get a povery experience with poor battery and only 2 cameras? The full "pro max" is just $400 more.
