You can't. It is a life lesson in action. If can't realize that gambling for shit is a fruitless effort when they are young. You are going to be doing it with serious drops when you are older.

You joke but there was SNES casino game that I played as a kid, that was really fun at first until I figured out all the games were rigged.
I could win by also rigging the game (I forget how, probably save scumming) but that moment was when I realized that all gambling games with random outcomes were retarded.

>How did you not learn that lesson with Candy Land or Monopoly?
Because those games kind of dress it up, and the social aspect is what matters, you don't really care about winning or losing; there's nothing approximating stakes in those games and kids at that age broadly don't have any skill anyway.

Losing SNES Casino bux (even though they were infinite and you could get more by restarting) crystalized the realization that gambling sucks shit.
But the relevant part is I didn't have to waste my parents money to find out (I guess technically I spent some money renting the game but whatever, literally money well spent)

Condoms. Don't give your children media unless you're willing to actually control and engage with that media yourself, otherwise you may as well just leave them in a seedy back alley.
>>106555880
F2P games only exist because of people who are financially illiterate or otherwise vulnerable.
Their entire design ethos is based around psychological exploitation to eke out profits from the small part of the audience that actually makes it worthwhile. The design is a slightly higher budget variant of spam emails or calls.
Does there really need to be a dissection of freemium slop for every new generation?

I would agree except you'll end up with >=18 yr olds that don't understand basic online etiquette, without the years of harsh lessons existing before. The entitled nature of younger generations has come from the sheltered, moderated services they use. I blame services for catering to them, rather than leave it to users to inform (or just kick) idiotic newcomers. Of course, I'm using mid 2000s BBS/forum logic, not Discord groomer logic.

Don't go for the retarded general population, go for the people making the profit
Every app with internet access gets immediate 18+ rating unless there is an offline switch or some restricted kid mode
Every device capable of connecting to the internet gets a cigarette-like warning that it's bad for minors to use unsupervised
App stores must ask for permission of an admin device to spend money. So the family can set up an admin device or two that must manually verify every purchase on other devices.
Maybe some apps could also use the admin device to unlock features deemed undesirable.
We could have all that without internet ID for everyone. But politicians are in the pockets and sights of the people making the profit and recording the wiretapping.

You don't sell alcohol and tabacco to children. Does that mean the state is trying to nanny your children or is this just basic law to prevent most obvious cases of neglect?
A parent giving alcohol to her child is not very different than a parent giving her child unrestricted access to the internet.
