There used to be Android tablets better than iPads in every ways while half the price and with a micro sd slot.
Now they are as expensive, if not more, they all have a 16:9 or 16:10 screen which is terrible for everything, none have a micro sd slot anymore because fuck you, Android became worse and worse with every version, and soon they won't even have sideloading anymore...

well, i chose android for sideloading, but once google changes that there are no reasons to buy an android tablet. i've also had an ipad and the ipad experience is better.

I got a used Galaxy Tab A8 for dirt cheap out of curiosity, and it's become my main computer. I love how versatile they are, it's perfect for reading books, comic books and manga, PDFs in general, it's great for drawing and painting digitally, and of course it's the ideal device to use in bed for media consumption, add a keyboard and it's a laptop just as capable as proper laptops for 90% of tasks pretty much.

Wanna watch a movie on one - VLC or MPV
Wanna watch Shittube or do literally most anything you can already do on your PC's Browser - Chrome or Firefox
Wanna use a keyboard, mouse or drawing tablet to sketch your furry/loli porn on it - bluetooth or just plug & play through USB-C
The only ones who say it isn't worth doing shit on a tablet never actually tried doing anything with a tablet. They took one look at the drawer of one, saw spotify, then had a schizo episode and slithered right back to their thinkpad.

good enough devices with ARM chip, small, decent battery life, and got a plenty of apps. can also run linux apps somewhat.
