i've seen poor as fuck people with iPhones, i find it astonishing. but then i think spending like $100 a month on a cell phone plane is astonishing.
if Mint Mobile or something similar did not exist, i would not even have a cell phone. i'd use burner phones and/or buy those shitty prepaid phone cards.

This is true though. Phones are useless for anything beyond music, calls, text, and the occasional shitposting on 4chins. Any $200 phone will do it. The only differentiating factor are the cameras but unless I compare my Pixel 4 A/B with a newer pixel I probably won't tell the difference.
