The reason we don't have jacks on phones today is because of apple, they've always been the ones that set the trends and it's their phones that are seen as the defacto standard / status symbol.

I never denied they made good products that people like. I said they've never been an "ideas powerhouse". None of their products are off-the-wall unique ideas, they just executed them well.

yeah that's probably true. They know how to take ideas and implement/market them better, that's what most of their features generally are.
