That unironically looks like it'd be really nice to have. Does anyone use a dumbphone? How is it?
With modern society I feel like it'd be a nightmare.

The only reason for owning a mobile phone is being able to run bank/government cuckware, and you can't run these on a dumbphone, so what's the point?
Anonymous No.106574291
>>106574206
The point is that's not the only reason. I use it for keeping in contacts with friends and family and for when I need to organise something with a business. Just call and text is theoretically enough for that except that 90% of friends and family now use apps for text and often calls instead of sms/calls.

rage against the dying of the light. every time I go to a place with a QR code menu I demand a paper one. They have yet to refuse.

they’ll text you a code, that phone can still receive texts I’m sure.

Yes it did, I had two of them (normal OS and Google Play edition). They were sorta cheaply built though.

Bit of a side note, but the LG G5, now THAT was a Sneed tier phone.

I've been using a dumb phone for about two years. I live in a country where people aren't very fond of modern technology. Restaurants have classic paper menus, and some don't even accept cards. Banks send an SMS code to authorize payments or logins. The most important thing is that we can still use 2G phones. The government said that there are still a lot of active 2G phones and GSM appliances, so they'll require operators to maintain backwards compatibility.

I own a smartphone, but I only use it as a pocket computer for reading manuals, maps, and navigation. Most of the time, it sits in my car. Sometimes I need to Google something quickly, so my girlfriend lends me her smartphone. She's not as "no-phone" as I am, but she's trying to limit her screen time, which is cool because she only uses her phone; she doesn't have a computer.

Some do, HSBC requires me to use their app anytime I want to change something in my account, add a new payee, do a new big transfer etc.

Here in France, they are trying to shut down 2G networks, but fire alarm and elevator installers are getting really mad because they have a lot of remote embedded systems that rely on these to communicate, and it would cost a fortune to upgrade all of them. I'm honestly not sure what is eventually going to happen.

It will just be cancelled as far as regular retail consumers are concerned.
