I took my A25 to Samsung's support after dropping it in a dessert with whipped cream, and getting the USB-C port, headphone jack and speakers full of it. I went to one where they didn't have someone who could open the thing for me, however one of the workers there cleaned it for me and she did a great job, the speaker sounds great again, still she said that it'd be best to take to some other Samsung support where they could open it, so I did and they said they couldn't do it because it was working fine, and even though the water resistance isn't as good as the flagships, it's still closed enough on the inside that the whipped cream likely didn't reach anything besides the ports, which the lady from the previous store managed to clean pretty good. I'm kind of upset they couldn't open it for me just to see if it's alright, but whatever, I suppose that if this was meant to break my smartphone, it would've done so already, so I'm more comfortable now.

I want to be able to turn the brightness of the display down pretty low and it should have a smooth refresh rate at all times -> 60/90+

I went from (all on lineageOS) OPO, to OP5, Poco F3 and now im considering pixel.
I usually change when either something breaks or the battery is too degraded and replacing it isnt worth it due to the quality of 'new' batteries.
I'm changing now due to network providers cucking grey market/chink/old phones. (cellular not always working, not great for callouts)
I would happily still use my OPO if i could take decent dark photos and had dual sim for work, the battery wasnt toast and it worked on currently network standards. It is my favourite smart phone.

What's the best phone i can get for around 350 bucks? I'm torn between a Galaxy A56 or Poco X7 Pro, the Poco is supposedly better but i've only terrible experiences with Xiaomi phones in the past, i don't know if they've gotten better. Which is better, or is there anything else i should consider?

Half of what makes a phone good is software. HyperOS is really hit or miss whereas OneUI is consistently good and reliable. You know things like Android Auto are just going to work. Whereas you can't be sure you won't have problems with it on HyperOS.
