I'm so glad I have my office for myself and have to share my lab-space with just one person. This is so much worse than even cubicles. I'm easily distracted by movement and one colleague who kept scratching his nose right in my cone of vision drove me nuts.

That's not brutalism. Brutalism does give a lot of fucks about aesthetics, just in a very particular way that a lot of people dislike.
This is something even worse than brutalism. This is not giving a singular fuck about the experience of people using your "architecture".
