/utwg/ - Unemployed Tech Workers General
Yes, we are Unemployed. No, that does not mean we are Unemployable. Let's change the Unemployable to the Unemployed in Unemployed Tech Workers General.

We need to acquire a second career to reboot our first career. Tech work for the sake of Tech working, just to get money, iwas always boring and now is just a dead-end. We were smart enough to make computers do things so we stopped at that, and the jeets caught up by impostoring. So let us continue to do smart things that pay well once again, which the jeets cannot impostor so easily. What's next UTWG?
Anonymous No.106584832
I am going to study and switch to another Engineering field. I won't be coming back to IT for less than $200k. FTW. Eat a dick jeets: I won't be around to do your jobs for you anymore. And NO you cannot close the ticket until you actually resolve the ticket.

Okay yeah so you're going to want an omni 802.11ax light weight access point every 50 feet (they go in the ceiling) alternating channels 1>6>11, a LAN controller running CAPWAP to detect rouge APs, an IPS device to detect other hackers, and setup RADIUS configured for the networks subnets. Oh and wpa3 obviously.

Alright anons, please help me out.
I just want a shitty, boring, minimum wage, customer service-type shitty job that's WFH since I gotta take care of my elderly father and I can't get a normal job at the moment.

I have literally 3 years of experience doing just that. I'm unemployed atm, last company fired like 200 people at once and I was one of them.
I thought this wouldn't be a problem since my experience would land me a job soon enough but holy shit, it's been 5 months already and I'm fucking desperate.

>"keywords on resume" trick
>asked AI to fix resume
>asked friends what do they think of my resume, trying to be brutally honest, all of them find it amazing and well structured
>always asking for less, if job is offering 9$/hr, I'm asking for 7

No matter what I do, I don't even go to the interview phase.
They just instantly reject my application, sometimes literally minutes after I apply.

Idk wtf am I doing wrong. I'm almost pretending to be a jeet and asking for just 3$ /hr, Yes I'm that desperate. Every single penny is currently being funneled to support my father and I'm eating half a ramen per meal for the last month since there's no cash anymore, all my savings are gone.

God damn it annoys to me to no end that there's a password requirement of 8 characters including a special character, and it rejects a 30-character password with no special characters because "it's not strong enough" when it's >3 times the entropy of the minimum requirements.
