What's a /g/ approved Email service? Sick of using Gmail and Outlook for everything.
Anonymous No.106588985 [Report] >>106589110
gmail for personal email and general outbound communication, custom domain with forwarding for account signups, newsletters, and all assorted inbound-only usage

No reasonable solution. Best you can hope for is a somewhat less cumbersome registration process, but it's all pozzed garbage spyslop (on the clearweb at least). Anything outside the control of big brother corporations is blacklisted, so even if you manage to get an account, you won't be able to do shit with it other than mail yourself.

Surprisingly the $0.99/mo iCloud tier is great for this. You can use a custom email domain and also use their “hide my email” service where it automatically generates one-time email addresses that forward to that email. Plus it includes the cloud storage increase and whatever else

I use Proton personally
>inb4 b-b-b-but they ratted out those eco terrorists in France that one time after they received a court warrant
Well good thing don't plan on doing annoying shit in France like form a human chain to block major roads off dump red paint (often made with some patrolled byproduct on peoples cares) and or whatever other retarded shit they do.
Still better than using Glowoogle, I also have a Yahoo client but I know Yahoo's ''security'' is a fucking joke and it's just a throwaway so whatever.

I'm sure Tutanota is cool too.

>Open source

Yet another company lying about being "open source" when only its client is open source

I stopped using Tutanota about a year ago after using it as a loyal customer for 5 years because I was sick of them promising features 4 years ago and still not following through and then doing annoying stuff like rebranding the whole UI and app.

Started using Mailbox.org which is a lot better, it has every feature of a normal email client plus its hosted in Germany.

I pay one € per month for posteo.
And i do this for over ten years now.
The only downside is that it's from Germany, which means that they are under total surveillance. So i obviously do not use it for accounts on platforms where i say based things.

They are postfix servers with dovecot and the web interface is roundcube. You can run all of this yourself. They are indeed OpenSource. Probably one of the only software-as-a-service providers that you can actually for real run yourself. It's just hard to do it, but possible.

In any way, just use any random email provider that is paid, exists for years already, and uses roundcube.
Without paying, it will be shit.

Anonymous No.106593000 [Report]
the thing about alternative email providers is that some services just ban anything that isn't gmail, icloud or outlook

I bought a runbox account with practically unlimited aliases for $20/yr. Proton and Tuta cap your aliases at like 20 and you have to live in their proprietary apps instead of being permitted to use your preferred client. EoE is not a feature I care about here (use GPG) and unnecessary if you're read-only.
Anonymous No.106596043 [Report]
>>106596006
For $20/yr you get 100 aliases each of which work with 37 domains for 3,700 unique addresses.
