Mine's just who?brand chink shit I got off ebay a couple of years back for £12. It's still on there though but for £8 now. Works well though, and only plastic is the joints and cover underneath the base; but the bottom half of the arm only has about a 30 degree range of motion (not sure whether that's normal for these, or not). The top half has approx 130 degree range though, with excellent swivel of the head, almost 360, unless pointed upwards which limits it quite a bit.

It would improve it, as long as you leave it uncovered (it won't work if you put some plasterboard on top of it). But doing only one wall will not solve it. You will need to consider all walls, ceiling and floor. What you want is soft, sound absorbing materials. Think carpets, rugs, curtains, couches, furniture in general. Any hard surface reflects sound and will contribute to reverb issues. Naked tiled floors are the worst thing you can do for reverb.

no, it won't affect it significantly. the reverb is probably more the fault of the two other walls and the floor. if you get a big thick rug and some large canvas paintings/frames to cut and put rock wool inside, you can fix the reverb problem basically invisibly.
