The "hacker" subculture was just a means to sell products to consumers who had no need of them. Look at the OP pic and count the number of almost useless niche gadgets.
Media has planted the seed that women are the true girlboss hackers! Men in tech are now portrayed as incels, which is only marginally true, as most of those incels hopped on HRT and are now unfortunately trannies.
