You should be able to run sdxl. There are lots of good models for many styles, but they won't have the same artistic style as 1.5 gens.
For larger models like flux you can look for a quantized version that runs on lower vram.

I used res_multi+beta for pretty much everything. for 2d anime, its recommended to add FreSca (for some reason). idk what it does so pls dont ask

also clown sampler gives you some better samplers
basic scheduler node should be enough but some suggest beta scheduler with <= 0.5 for values

kohya and lodestone (chroma maker) are working on something to allow training on very low vram, but you can always use kohya_ss anyway since it offloads to ram easily. might take longer. but i dont think i even saw a sdxl lora for ella which is why i ended up making one (in xl, flux and now chroma lel)
