I'm having trouble with my network connection. The connection is being received by my PC and smartphone, and the reception is strong, but I cannot access the web. It just times out after failing to load any page.

The interesting thing is one of my other phones can access the web. To be clear, the internet works fine, the reception is good, the password to connect is correct. But for some reason I cannot load anything.

I suspect the devices have been blacklisted for throttling the network once or something, I dunno?? Any tips on how to troubleshoot this?

is there any way to only enable vim plugins for certain filetypes? i want to only enable emmet-vim when i'm actually in a html/css/js file, but i can only see how to disable for specific types with automcd FileType.

Well, so far you had only asked whether it exists, hence my answer.
If you want to know how to do it, unironically ask an LLM, this is the kind of stuff that's too involved to explain in a single /sqt/ post but easy enough that modern top LLMs should have little trouble writing it correctly and explaining to you how it works in the process.
That is provided the LLM doesn't fuck up the extension APIs, sometimes they can one-shot perfectly the most obscure stuff but nevertheless other times they can fumble niche stuff and just not know how to do it properly. I would say one possibly very straightforward option might be a userscript that runs in violentmonkey or whatever for every page, and just scans all the HTML elements for your string, that has a very low chance of the LLM fucking up.

Google says this image has a resolution of 6515x4343. However, if I select the image and go to "open image in new tab," the resulting image is 275x183.

If I reverse imagesearch this image that I want, all of the duplicate versions of this image are from the same dead website, "Travories Blog."

I looked into it a bit more. I can't say I have good news, but it seems that the website travories.com still works, but their whole "blog" subdomain (i.e., blog.traveries.com) doesn't. This might indicate that they changed the website's structure. That is to say, the blog that the image is on is located elsewhere on the site. Every so often, after about a week or so of running, my Raspberry Pi that I use as a seed box and home samba server has its Internet connection completely fail, as in not even pinging 192.168.1.1 works. Long youtube videos seem to have several issues when I play them on MPV (so streamed)
Sometimes they desync (audio goes on, video freezes then goes very fast but never really syncs back), most of the time they skip (around 5 or so seconds, which then proceeds to desync).

I can't install windows 11 on my new NVME drive, I made a bootable USB with Rufus with the ISO from Microsoft and I boot the drive through my bios the initial install of windows goes fine but once it restarts to keep going with the setup it won't install. When it boots to the drive it just boots black screen then loops to the bios splash over and over. I have CSM disabled, I have AMD ftrm or whatever enabled. Nothing works....if I try to boot from the USB again it just says I booted from the installation media and gives me the option of restarting the installation or restarting. I updated my BIOS to the latest update, I don't really know what's going wrong. I guess maybe I will just try installing windows 10 but I know support ends in a few days. I still have my old SSD connected with windows on it, but that shouldn't matter as I kick it down to the bottom of the boot order.

I wanted to just clone my current windows 10 onto the NVME but apparently my 500gb WD SSD is so shit it's 512 byte sectors and my new NVME is 4096 and you can't clone them.

I think you need to boot into that partition, which means that your current bootloader needs to have an entry for it. Unless you backed up the previous bootloader and its configuration, this won't be easy.

Format the NVME with FAT32 and copy the contents of a Linux ISO image to it.
Done - you now have a bootable NVME and you can use it to store files.
You may want to create a 10 GB partition for this first, since using an entire 2TB drive with FAT32 isn't the best idea.
The second partition can be your data store.

Got it working, got the ISO on my USB, booted into Linux Mint and followed the install process for my enclosure, just had to be careful with names. Allocated 256gb to Linux Mint, 1.7tb free for formatting later. All looks good. Thanks!

My MSI monitor (271qpx, QD-OLED) has a sRGB clamping color mode. Windows 11 has this ACM feature which does a similar thing. When both are enabled everything looks dull as shit. Novidia does this thing where if colors are set automatically, it switches to 10 bit color. I have to manually set it to 8bit which disables ACM (or disable ACM, which switches it to 8 bit, same shit). Apparently "stacking" these features is a shitty idea.
So what should I do? Enable ACM and just the normal user preset on my monitor? or use the sRGB preset and disable ACM?

Is there some kind of software or AI that will translate text in real time and visable replace the text, mainly for mangas? (but also doujins)

I'm using Win10 and have a fairly small C drive (250GB) mostly because it was the first NVMe drive I ever bought, and then just decided to both keep the drive and keep the OS on a separate drive from everything else as I've upgraded my PC. You can nick yourself with an electric too, depending on the model, but yeah, it's worth it, for a pre-shave, and then you touch up with one of those disposables that have the 5+ blades. I have this particular odd problem: In most(not all) games there is a noticeable stutter or unevenness when moving the mouse, like when looking around. It's not performance related, things run perfectly smooth otherwise, fps are high, even when the camera pans around like during an ingame cutscene, smooth as butter. But as soon as as I move the mouse to look around it feels like frames are being skipped. I tried the usual stuff like reinstalling drivers, various vsync settings, screen settings, even tried out different cables, updating mobo chipset drivers etc and nothing seems to have an effect. I suspect it has something to do with USB. Could there be some hardware defect with USB ports, mobo or stuff that could cause this? Or what else could it be?

i would consult your specific motherboard manual before selecting anything related to secure boot keys. while erasing them entirely won't brick a system, it will stop windows booting with secure boot enabled
there shouldn't be a need to touch secure boot keys if you haven't fucked with them before, all motherboards ship with microsoft keys built into them so unless you got rid of them, just enabling secure boot should be enough

I fucked up and cloned it twice, it creates it's own system and recovery partition, and because I chose to expand the system partition it turned into dynamic and I can't boot from it, I can't even format it during install.

The only solution is to completely format the drive in Linux, install Windows 10 IoT LTSC on it in isolation and then copy everything from Appdata to the new drive. But I don't know where my thingie to turn drives into external drives is and I have to buy a new one.

i mean.. there's one thing i would try, but i'm not sure it's very beginner-friendly.
namely, even without a working bootloader, or something weird going on with the "C:" partition, ive backed up and restored windows by using wimcapture on the "C:" volume in a linux livecd, reinstalling windows, then restoring the "C:" from the captured .wim file (wimextract)
without knowing exactly what aomai did i can't personally think of anything simpler

learning how bootloaders worked was liberating, so many apparently borked installs could simply be fixed once you learn how to fix a bootloader.
what i describes is still kind of a dumb way to do it, like you can fix it without doing an install and overwriting it with a backup, but i am trying to make it easy

I downloaded some BD rips of a series that include two audio tracks that seem like just different formats of the same audio, one TrueHD and one AC-3. The TrueHD one always seems to be off sync a bit, coming in slightly before the video, while the AC-3 seems to be synced just fine. Is this likely an encoding issue with the files themselves or some kind of problem with settings on my end? I'm not sure if there's some easy way to test, like if I could view them both overlayed as waveforms or something would make it pretty obvious if one is actually offset by a bit

I have a logitech wireless kb+m but lost the dongle. This is an older model that doesn't work with the unifying receivers, it's a k270 920-008971. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement so I don't have to junk this otherwise perfectly functioning keyboard?
