I switched to brave when adblocker stopped working. I'm pretty sure it's due to chrome changing their extensions thing from 2.0 to 3.0 to ban adblocker

Not even this works anymore, it used to in the past. When I use it on Brave, it still doesn't behave the same as it used to.
Last time this happened I found a thread on this board that had me go into chrome settings i've never seen before but warned it was only a temporary fix.

You're most likely using the Chrome extension version, and that one doesn't work anymore since it's Manifest V2. If you want the extension version of XT, go to https://github.com/TuxedoTako/4chan-xt/releases and download crx.7z from the latest version and extract it. Then go to Extensions and turn on Developer Mode. Click Load Unpacked and point it to the directory you extracted it to.

Imagine using Chrome. Firefox does not have this problem.

You can go to gmail.com and drive.google.com just fine in Firefox. There is nothing you can't do (that people ACTUALLY do) in Firefox.
