In May 2025, Apple announced a new, more integrated version called CarPlay Ultra, first introduced in the Aston Martin DBX707, which allows deeper control over vehicle functions and stats, though it is currently only available in the US and Canada. CarPlay is now standard on most new vehicles and can also be added to older cars through aftermarket head units
