Linux won
>Windows 10 phased out
>Windows 11 has no local accounts
>constant crashes and blue screens
>viruses running rampant and ransomware vulnerabilities
>ads in the start menu
>slow as shit
>all native applications moving to the cloud, like office
>to install hardware you have to hunt down drivers online
>bloated
Meanwhile on Linux...
>just works, across the board
>drivers come with it or are just a <command install> away
>KDE Plasma 6 is sleek, familiar, comfy and reasonable (lots of other WMs and DEs available for nerds, talking about most people who don't care and go with the default)
>can emulate 95% of Windows applications
>now can play 90% of Windows video games
Computing has never been this easy. I've been using linux as my main OS since 2005 and in the last couple of years it has been absolutely smooth sailing. Several different desktops, laptops old and new (including macbooks), AMD, intel, nvidia, printers, scanners, microphones, smartphones, hdmi, dp, bluetooth, ... it all just fucking works.
No joke, I hear people complain about their Windows PCs all the time. Something is always going wrong. HDMI output doesn't work (FUCKING IRONIC, ISN'T IT?!), computer crashes, forced updates.
Slow and steady won the race.
