Pros: Best Windows version. (Yes, 2000 was great too but you can't realistically still use it in 2025)
Cons: Modern hardware won't work. Too many new software won't run, even with VxKex. :(
Basically, the question only arises for computers that are not too old and not too recent either.
If it's a very new computer, you can't install 7 on it, so it'll be either 10 or Linux.
If it's an old computer you are using, you don't have any other choice anyway: 10/11 will be unusably slow, Linux will be usable but will take long to boot and will feel sluggish (even xfce), while 7 will just fly even on a mechanical hard disk.
