Today Windows 10 Died
Now if you want to use Windows, you have to use W11 which forces you to make an online account. Why does Microsoft want us to make accounts so bad?

The even bigger end of support is the end of 32-bit Windows. If you have 16-bit apps you have to use emulators now.

I install Windows 11 several times a week for our customers. I use the same throwaway account each time then delete the account when installed. Microsoft dont give a shit
Anonymous No.106884769 >>106884966
You don't have to use windows 11 for windows. Windows 10 will continue working, just without support. New hardware and software may struggle on it, and if there's somehow a BIG VULNERABILITY CVSS 10/10 PATCH IMMEDIATELY that coincidentally comes out in a couple weeks you have to worry about that too.

Where is this meme coming from? I've loaded up Pro in a VM and it still let me create a local account. Is this just shitty bait or are people so retarded they still use home edition?

Microsoft hired all the pajeets and hackers they used to crack their systems, those hackers grow in the company and their ethics are just to fuck their costumers with the jew power, same with meta and any other bullshit chinese spyware.
People wonder why companies are fucked up, well their employees are ex criminals.

I use Windows 7.
W10 has the ugliest Windows interface I ever seem. 95 looks better than 10.
And then you have ads in your desktop, the forced updates (which turns on the ads you just disabled), and direct access to the motherboard (hello ransomware).
Feels so good to use a unsafe system. The market of used hardware will only grown.

This explain a lot about the current tech industry.
The same is happening with Linux, where Ubuntu also force updates on the user.
Disgusting.

Something feels different about this EoL than others. It feels like there are way more people just unaware of it or don't care. Literally every normie I know hasn't bothered to upgrade, or can't because of hardware limitations. I just sent over to a couple buddies the guide to switch to LTSC. But it's just wild to me how many people are going to be vulnerable in a few months.

My POSReady 2009 stinkpad daily driver received official security patches up to 2019, and some of the apps I use still get updates regularly.

Probably nobody using 10 does, but I do have some (POSReady 2009) that don't necessarily operate as native 16 bit apps but the installers do.

Benn full time on linux since windows 8 was released.
Anonymous No.106890660
If people are putting up a stink because they're being forced to switch to windows 11 which has changes they claim to not like, why would the situation be any different on linux?
Take for example, the systemd situation
If you hypothetically did not like systemd but could not update to a still-supported linux distro because they are all integrating with systemd, then what would you even do?
What percentage of users have such a massive stick up their ass that they would roll their own linux from scratch without systemd and whatever GUI interface still refuses to support it unto perpetuity?
