Isn't it crazy teenagers with ChatGPT are better coders than senior developers with 20 years of experience?
Anonymous No.106899562 [Report] >>106899609
They're not tho.

Ask a senior programmer to program a 3d double pendulum with air resitance, he'll take him a fucking week to do it, a teen with ai could do it in 5 minutes

They are actually not

How do you know senior programmer won't ask AI and won't complete this task in 20% of time it would take the that junior because he already knows how to set up all his tools, workspace and fix small bugs without having to ask AI about each thing separately?

Also this is more of physics than programming problem. You don't hire seniors to write pendulum simulations, you hire them so they can make sense of huge complex legacy undocumented system written in archaic framework with vague business goals and unholy spaghetti code.

>better coders
lol. im rescuing someones large, complex vibecoded codebase right now and ive never seen some many dead code paths, antipatterns, deprecation warnings, unit tests that do nothing, obvious scaling blockers, and issues that would cause service failure and data exfiltration at launch. its going to be a fun and profitable next few years for us.
