Im Windows user that will be switching soon to Linux Mint i already learned a lot on VM. Question is why some companies that release games and some software companies like Adobe for example refuse to support Linux ? Do they have some deals with MS or they are just literally that retarded because Linux is still smaller then Windows so it's not worth for them to do Linux builds ? Also AntiCheat too for example Rust(game) was working fine on Linux then they just cut it off. It's stupid, i simply don't understand it specially now that Windows 11 is getting worse and worse and if you would install it on your system it would be just huge breach of your own privacy. Do the big AAA studios don't really give a fuck for example EA and new release Battlefield 6 literally they are cutting themselves off at least 4% of revenue which would be about 3-4 million dollars. Linux port would cost them 10% of that.

Now just imagine povertycels all over the planet rushing in to completely destroy the internet with their dogshit PCs with Chat GPT and Photoshop prompts because a Linux distro still supports their hardware that it's enough for them to browse the internet on.

There are multiple problems, first one is, that people who use linux are very jewish, so they steal software and games alot. Second one is, that implemeting the software to make it work on all linux distros is toublesome, and making one version for every linux distro is bullshit. For example with the games, its just that these games like rust, leage, csgo face it use kernel level anticheat, that is hareder to go around. If they made global linux kernel antivirus, people will just develope linux distro that goes around the anticheat.

It still works fine on Linux (last time I played it) the problem is multiplayer servers will drop you for having a modified client. There’s only a few rust servers that allow Linux clients, you just have to find one

Well, that picture is bullshit. If you run into literally any issue regarding linux you can find extensive documentation online, and forums dedicated to assisting people with actually useful advice.

You run into any issue with Windows and you get some Microsoft help Indian telling you to run sfc /scannow and perform a clean boot for every possible issue, even (especially) when it doesn't make sense to do so.

You run into something complicated with your mac, you can feel free to buy a new one.

First of all there is no way in hell Linux has 4% desktop market share. Second, it seems you don't understand how market sizing works. Windows dominates, yet Adobe prioritizes Mac because their ideal customer prefers Mac. Gaymers don't use Linux so the obtainable market is miniscule.

Because it's a lot of extra work for an OS that has a relatively small market share. I do make software linux compatible at my company but we have a somewhat different business model. We sell licenses here and there for six and seven figure sums and a good portion of those sales are on redhat, it would be different if we made off the shelf consumer software. We don't support mac at all.

Well, it's a chicken and egg conundrum. People start switching, they will need specific software to do their shit. But they don't switch because there isn't enough software to do their shit.
Until Wine becomes completely transparent, and by its nature it will probably never happen, people aren't moving away from windows.
