what is the usecase for KrashDE/Groom when Xfce exists? XFCE has everything, tray, taskbar, extensions, tiling and is rock stable.

Wayland. When XFCE eventually gets Wayland support, I'll switch. Until then, KrashDE works fine I guess.

XFCE works ok, and I like thunar.
One thing I hate.. HATE

I want to drag and drop an image from firefox to a folder I have open.

When I initiate the drag, I can't press alt+tab, it is fucking locked.
I have either have thunar already open on the side, or while dragging the image, hover on the thunar icon on the taskbar to bring it up and then drop it there.

fix that you lazy hacks

There is nothing fundamentally wrong with Xfce, but it has a bunch of annoying defects, such as not recognizing Super alone, that ultimately detract from the experience when taken all together.

I prefer GNOME for this reason.

Its good but lags behind gnome, cinnamon and kde in plugins for the taskbar. Extensions? only seen that in gnome and cinnamon.

Xfce is like windows xp in terms of functionality. KDE is modern and has a ton of features and customizations and great ease of use. I don't blame you for using xfce, it's a great de. But the beauty of linux is that everyone can use exactly what they need
