Samsung Galaxy Book Go 14”
I don’t know if you could modify these as easily. Houses a snapdragon 7c. mediatek is relegated to chromebooks and loading Linux on those is a crapshoot

>$799

where are you looking? These things debuted for like $349 a few years ago (no one wanted them) and I see some affordable listings on ebay. You’re probably looking at regular galaxy books.

You're better off with an SBC or a tv box even

This is what's shown on the Samsung website.

that’s a successor, it’s not that exact model same model because it has 5g cellular and a snapdragon 8cx. Look for the ones with the snapdragon 7c on eBay, which are the first gen galaxy book go. but if you’re looking for new ones, you may have to pay a premium because as far as I know no one is bothering to put anything less than a snapdragon 8 or elite in a laptop these days.

Uhm, sweaty, ARM is not an open platform like the PC, you can't just install anything you want on it. You WILL use Windows 11 or Mac OS X on it and you WILL like it. Troonix is not supported, it's usually just a bunch of hacks and the stability is like a house of cards.
