yea absolutely, i'm by no means against something replacing crt's, but they have to be at least as good as crts first.
i'm not oblivious to lcd's advantages of course, they're lighter, cheaper to make, larger screens, lower power, sharper, perfect geometry, etc. but this was all at the expense of image quality (except sharpness i suppose), which is a big downside considering we're talking about monitors, where image quality is or should be the first priority
