FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex
>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

The massgrave website has a guide. Basically you can turn GAC 10 into IoT LTSC 2021 via some registry tweaking and in-place upgrading with the latter's mounted ISO's setup.exe, making it think it's repair upgrading an already existing IoT LTSC 2021 install.

Make a flash drive with windows install iso using rufus.
And make another one with drivers to use during installation, there are instructions on the internet.
No need to pre-format anything.

That is if you want clean install.
If you want dual boot with macos then just download iso file and feed it to bootloader or whatever it is called mac program and it will do everything for you.

Just to be sure, the "your version of windows has reached end of support" is just a visual thing, correct? The actual thing that decides wether you'll get the update is the output you see in "slmgr.vbs /dlv"?

I did all the steps as put on massgrave, but even after the troubleshooting steps it's still showing that message on the updates screen. Though if I run slmgr.vbs /dlv, then it shows all the ESU years with status:licensed. So I should be good, right?

Retard here, I ended up using my microsoft account to set up my windows user. Fast forward a few months and I noticed my user folder (C:\Users\USER) is firstnamelastname and I want to change it. I asked chatGPT what to do and basically unlinking my MS account + changing the registry should do the trick, but some apps may break because they'll still reference the old user folder name. Is there anything I can do about this or do I just accept my fate?
I don't want to create another user because I already have trillions of things set up in this user.

Reluctantly, I placed the ISO onto a USB stick with Ventoy, and I got further on that, until it bluescreened with a 0x0000007b error. BIOS is set up for legacy, so I don't know why it's having trouble, as far as I know. All I got available are SSDs, and I really don't feel like spending any more money on HDDs.

Yeah after digging around for like another hour thats the conclusion I came to. I wrote a shitty batch script that lets me just feed it a dozen file paths, then it makes mirrors. Its wild none of these online programs let you do it that way, they all require you to recreate the folder name from scratch in the backup area. Like I get why, but there should just be an option to use the same folder name. Like when you do an actual copy/paste in the windows GUI.

Yeah, funny thing, I had a 500GB drive that it came with, but I disposed of it, along with some other old drives, thinking "I'll never need these anymore! :D". I don't believe the problem is the SSD itself, it's either the DVD I burned, which the disc drive is not initializing, or something in the BIOS config I'm overlooking, preventing me from progressing further on the USB stick. Aside from swapping and re-seating the GPU, everything is working, somewhat.
