I can answer this because I'm an actual employed Graphics Designer of 15 years, working for an ad agency and not just some fiverr drone.
The problem is AI can kinda do some low level graphics design wok like making basic logos and shit, and for most people that's enough. But on higher levels of work, we really rarely do logos and shit.
Like making a logo makes up 3% of my work. I can't remember the last time I did someone's Logo and just their logo alone. It's usually a full brand package design, like matching brochures, book layout, design their physical memopads (this is a thing), pick what ink to use on their packaging (not all inks work well with any materials), shit like that.\
And AI isn't there yet.
