I want to ask Ayakon if he is around since he makes a living from this and I suppose he is the only "professional AI artist" here. I assume he must have a pretty dynamic and practical workflow when it comes to inpainting. He uses ComfyUI and mentioned he uses Photoshop for editing.

My questions are:
Do you recommend or have any workflow and nodes for inpainting in Comfy?
What is your opinion on KritaAI?
Does your Photoshop have diffusion built in as well?
What things do you specifically do in Comfy and which things specifically do in Photoshop?

I have always had the impression that AI shits itself with body proportions, or maybe I am schizoing out. In the previous thread's last post, you mentioned your full body characters felt off. I suspect it is because SDXL has errors when calculating limbs or proportions. I would like to read some pages from a drawing book that covers correct limb proportions.
Measuring against my own body, I know that if I trace a semicircle with my femur, it reaches somewhere between my neck and sternum area.
I'm phoneposting in my bed so I couldn 't calculate the proportion of the tibia or the foot but I suppose they should also carry proportion errors. When I traced the semicircle with the femur it gave me an extremely long femur that reached all the way to the forehead.

It's quite possible that AI generates proportions that are off, but at the same time, anime characters are usually idealized and don't necessarily follow realistic proportions, so overly long legs or thighs could just as well be a common artistic choice in the art the models were trained on.

Yes, anime art takes liberties with proportions for stylistic reasons, but I think that there is a difference between intentionaltylization like long legs or large heads and AI fucking up anatomy. When an artist stylizes proportions, it is usually consistent and deliberate but when AI does it, you get weird inconsistencies .
Pic related from the previous thread where I think the AI actually got it right and even matched my femur to torso proportion BUT now it overdimensioned the tibia compared to the femur and the rest of the body.

I am not sure which AI tools were used. Maids here generated the Tohru, Kurumi and background separately and I modified them and composited it together by hand. I had to fix Kurumi's wing and redraw her outfit, but the maids who used their AI drawing computers to help me saved me a lot of time with the dabbing poses and now I have the Card for the MAIDS compiler.

MAIDS is undergoing alpha testing at the Science Foundation and then will get a Public Domain release.

I feel the same way. I've watched anime a few times but with AI I'm way more into just the anime girls themselves. If a character has an interesting backstory, I'll look into that specific girl and her story. Then using LLMs through /aicg/ I create similar stories or branch off from the original plot and self-insert to interact with the anime girl while doing gens at the same time. Watching anime or playing games just for the anime girls seems kinda gay to me when you can use AI to create your own custom scenes and stories

Thank god I bought a drawing tablet 4 years ago even though I never touched it until I got into genning this year. The amount of times I have saved SDXL from fucking up hands by drawing guides when inpainting is insane. It still tries to add extra fingers at 0.3 denoise which is pretty low for SDXL to still be making shit up. Based drawing tablet saving my gens.

You don't need to go as far as building your own image with a Dockerfile, pull docker.io/library/python:3.13 or whatever and that'll give you a Debian environment with the relevant version of Python, you can use apt to install any non-Python tools you need.
Most terminal programs have an option to open a shell inside one of your containers these days.
The trick is exposing your GPU inside the container but that's a question of creating the container with the correct parameters.

Because it's free as in freedom and Arch is a rolling release meaning I never have to deal with end of support or other shit like on windows. for 95% of stuff linux works and the only reason SD doesn't work OOTB is because Arch is using the 3.13 version of python which is the current release instead of 3.12 which is an LTS release and 3.13 would work except for the fact that the python mediapipe library doesn't support 3.13 yet so you can only use 3.12.

My Linux install tells me "you need to restart to complete these changes" like once per year.
When it does that and I restart, it boots up just like any other boot.

Oh no, they want to change Neta Lumina's encoder to a larger 4B one. I do not get it though. I think it goes deeper than that. I do not believe more parameters equals better performance. Chroma is an 8B model and still has issues with hands and feet, for example. To me, there is something more fundamental than just parameter count.

At some point SDXL is going to have to break away from danbooru tags and start working with thesaurus synonyms of tags. Can you not use inpaint sketch to touch up the pages, at least with a bit of color so the AI follows the process? I think that is easier to do with Nano Banana or Qwen edit, where you tell the AI as a system prompt "these are the characters and their colors." Then the AI figures it out and does the work. With SDXL I think it would be way too much manual work because it does not have that kind of context memory. Plus you would have to tag each character action and the scenario. The workload would be insane.
