Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal

Follow the MAS guide. You need to delete the DWORD DisableOneSettingsDownloads (which ShutUp10 adds as a recommended toggle) and make sure you have the DWORD EnableActiveProbing set to 1. The guide says where they are in the registry.

Finally made the jump to W11 on my own PC last night/this morning. Turns out it fixed that thing I had where there was a minute or so of black screen between the Windows logo and seeing the login screen.

The funny thing is that I once upgraded a client's PC that also had that thing (and didn't fit the system requirements) and IIRC it did NOT fix it there

Now if only I could do something about the long "spinny circle" phase. Though I guess that's from when I turned off hibernation or something and don't remember why. Though turning it back on would fill up 30-something gigs of drive space (because this PC has 32 GB RAM

My (10 home) pc came with candy crush, etc., but just reset it (pro) and that was no longer installed; guess MS ditched it in newer builds, when they ditched all those people from cc div.

As long as you are not a business, they won't care if you use Enterprise LTSC, most of us here are using it, that's what the massgrave stuff in the OP is about.

But hey, if you insist, you can get a legit non-business license for dirt cheap these days on Groupon. I doubt support for 11 home and Pro will last much longer as Windows 12 is supposed to be right around the corner, and Microsoft wants to be releasing "new" versions on a regular basis due to the bad politics of the market and and the corpos these days. I'll be laughing at you if you run into problem with Winhoes 12 while I coast comfortably on 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC.

If someone could give me some advice or input on these two questions, I'd appreciate that.

1.)
>IoT LTSC only comes in English, if you want IoT LTSC in a different language

Surely this doesn't mean it doesn't support other language packs right?

Does IoT support IME input? I need English, German and Japanese (via IME.)
I see some saying you can manually add language packs to the ISO is it bullshit or not?

2.)
I'm planning on, at least, dual booting two Windows installs, and a documents partition between them. However, I might also install a Linux distro.
I know the Windows boot loader can be a pain in the ass. Which one is gonna give me less grief?:

a.) all 3 oses on the same drive, with a shared /EFI, and their own partitions.
b.) 2 windows on one drive, and linux distro on it's own drive.

I'm assuming b, but I don't like to assume.

Either IIRC you can use OS Prober from Linux to detect and automatically add the two Windows installs to GRUB (assuming you want to use GRUB), even with a unified \EFI but you might want to check that. Otherwise, just two Windows installs should be able to automatically set themselves up on the same drive without any manual configuration. Though you may need to do some setup with bcdboot if you want to change the boot order.

After running that DISM command, Windows will report that Recall is disabled. However, some files will remain on your system because Windows 11's File Explorer depends on Recall. Also, Recall is not the only AI bloat Microsoft added to IoT LTSC 2024. The latest updates installed several unwanted packages called Resume, Actions, and Click-to-Do. As far as I know, these new components can't be removed. The Resume feature is a memory hog and was one of the main reasons I switched from Windows 11 IoT LTSC to Windows 10 IoT LTSC.

The only truly forced update you get is the monthly one on Patch Tuesday (second Tuesday of every month) but you can just use group policy to delay the updates longer if you want. ShutUp10 is the easiest way to set registry keys to do with privacy and such, while also disabling services associated. Rufus shouldn't mess with Windows update, and installing on an unsupported system will still give you feature updates, although keep in mind they get delivered in gradual rollout for everyone

However, annual updates are usually not delivered to unsupported PCs, like getting the 25H2 update, you have to download enablement packages or use an ISO instead

I use paint3d every few days to do simple editing of images. My preferred method is to right click the image and open with paint3d. But p3d keeps updating to the newest version that no longer works and tells me I need to go to the MS store to find a program. I reinstall an older version, it works for a day, it updates, I install old version it works for a day, it updates.....You get the idea.
