Firefox still supports Windows 7. I think you'll be fine.

Here are your options: https://massgrave.dev/windows10_eol
But your best option is linux.

The Windows 7 people seem to be fine still.

the unsafe windows 10 thing is mostly fearmongering by microsoft and linux youtubers. some people are still using windows 7 for work, and windows 11 probably has a lot more vulnerabilities undiscovered, and a potential for much worse damage if you get hacked and everything the ai is scanning about you gets leaked.

>upgrade or upgrade
yea, eventually
Anonymous No.106938452
>too poor to upgrade hardware for 11
>too retarded for Linux
These are the only reasons people use out of support versions of Windows.

browser support from both chromium and firefox will continue for at least another 5+ years, same goes for most other software out there
like steam only dropped support for windows 7 like a year ago if i'm not mistaken, and that's a type of software that really had no business still supporting such an old os
so you'll be just fine, chances are if not enough people switch to windows 11, software support will continue for the next decade or so, especially considering that windows 11 under the hood is just reskinned windows 10, it doesn't really take any effort to keep supporting it.

there's tons of operating systems to choose from:

MacOS
ChromeOS
Windows
Linux
BSD

First two you better buy them preinstalled on hardware you buy.
Windows10 no more free updates, forced to upgrade.
Linux comes in 10+ versions to choose fro, you can pretty much install them on any pc. Bit of a learning curve and not all games and software supported. Lots of gatekeeping and chills (Ive been using it +20y)
BSD works.. NO gatekeeping and chills, but even less software supported and almost no games.

This is the sad state of operating system choices we have on PC. To make you feel even worse it's no better on phones.
