You should use notes or a kanban board for the features and have only 2, max 3 in progress tickets you are working on. every git service has a kanban nowadays, use it.

It's even more timewasting then a 4chud clone. Just build whatever you feel like then try to customize it somehow. Most popular web apps started as just a clone from some other project with a different UI/UX.

My motivation with personal projects always goes up and down. Sometimes I'll go weeks without touching something, and then return to it and make a lot of progress in a weekend. I think that's common. If you want to be a bit more disciplined, you can make to do lists or something but you should still let yourself relax here and there because you will work better with a refreshed mind

i think the biggest cause of 'project burnout' is when you go too fast initially and you make stuff really easily and quick to iterate on, but then its harder to jump back into later on.
if you instead start the project and think it through so that its really well engineered and easy to understand, from the start, the projects a lot easier to get back into and less procrastination occurs

You will probably never end it at this rate, sorry. I know because I've been there, and yes I'm assuming you're as lazy and parasite as me, sorry. Even if by a miracle you end up finishing it, you know it's an overall waste of time right? I mean, aside from learning for yourself, no one is going to use it, and I mean absolutely no one anon. I'm super super sorry but we both know it's true.
Despite all that you're still frustrated? Ok, then what you want is to get it off as soon as possible and move on to something else. You can achieve this by using a good AI agent, but an actual good one like Claude Code 4.5. You develop using Git discipline and very incremental features.
Trust me, you're going to get it done, you're gonna host it, and you're gonna move to something else, you will need to spend some money for Claude though, maybe 35 bucks depending or more.
This is coming from someone who made a perfectly functional project consisting of around 4k lines of code in an entire week, full test coverage on the entire project and working. It's done and shipped and I moved to something else with my life, don't get suck, use the tools you need to move on, don't be embarrassed for it

Add extra securities, basially making the reply and op a canvas and draw the text on that so it cannot be copy pasted or search for and the faggots have to use orders of magnitute more electricity and compute power to ocr it (only works if there's lots of activity otherwise its kinda pointless)

Anything else will fail

You guys are missing the point anyway. Why would anyone post on your 4chan clone? Same features as 4chan, 0.0001% of the activity. Give the users something they haven't seen before, or identify a specific niche and customize the site around that.

happened to me last night. i had been coding for like 8 hours and decided to fap at 3am. i was tired af at that point BUT i couldve still powered through and got some more features out, i had an hour atleast left in me. but after i fapped it was over.
