Microsoft Teams, is one of the worst things in my life, I hate it so fucking much, but the world forces it down my throat

I'm pissed because there are constant problems with bluetooth headsets. With Windows 10 there was no problem in OS, only in Teams. Now with Pajeetsoft Windows 11 there are also problems on OS level with bt headsets. Also the resources in Teams, which are really located in Sharepoint, have constant slowdowns and nothing-works tier problems. Weirdly everything works fine when accessing the resources from Sharepoint with browser.

Without even knowing how it works I can almost guarantee it’s some electron-based atrocity

Teams is not a well-written piece of software. It is not performant. It is not easy to use. The literal only thing it does okay is integrate into the rest of the microshit “ecosystem” (which is about as well-built as the Ganges its engineers worship) and enterprise plans are the only reason it has as many users as it does. Fuck this piece of shit
>t. had to write an app for it once and wanted to kill either myself or everyone in the nearest jeetsoft office

it also works terrible with any other headset, even "enterprise grade" wired office headsets with teams certification

total audio disaster

Teams randomly switches from your "teams certified headset" to the built in laptop mic

be in the middle of a presentation and people start complaining that it sounds like you are in a toilet or in a church

thanks so much teams

Also, the mute indicator was buggy for a while. I've been on calls where I was muted but the other party could hear me. Even tested it with a buddy coworker.

and i specifically bought a 'wagie approved' teams certified headset (jabra engage 50 ii)

when I use it for anything else but teams, the mic quality seems good, but in teams it is just a shit fest, no matter the settings, noise surpression settings etc

worthless software

That is really efficient consodering that it uses 600MB of RAM while doing nothing.

Just let me use Zoom.
It's not even that this is a lock-in we're forced to use. It's not. Zoom is SO MUCH BETTER and has so many features and I can participate in meetings without even being at my computer or even installing an app. I can participate in a meeting with hundreds of people just by dialing a phone number, and it lets me mute, it lets me hang up, raise hand, it's fantastic.

I can even sign in to a meeting on Zoom to get video and use my superior audio device to my PC known as my phone. Which lets me stand up and walk away from a meeting while still participating in the meeting.

Why can't Teams do that?
