I don't think public computers are typically configured to allow that. I feel so deeply terrible for homeless people who have to deal with public computers as their only means of accessing the Internet.

Explain the link between mechanical wear and ecoli? I'm pretty sure if you used rubbing alcohol to clean them, it would cause them to be shinny. If anything slick is better. Less surface area, likely cleaned.

Idk what a public PC is as I'm not a boomer but if you have to give up ID at any point then no obviously.
But there are also a lot of security cameras around public buildings like that. Very easy to triangulate if you're doing anything illegal from there
I feel like most people don't realize it's extremely easy to recover deleted files from hard disks. Sometimes files can linger for years because the filesystem decides not to overwrite them for whatever reason.
