Refurbished computers are a scam.

It all stem down to the EU coercing its companies to do random crap for "muh ecology" sake.
One such thing is to reduce your e-waste.

Companies replace their computers pools every 3~6 years, or so. They have to, of course, because your average office computer become a stuttering mess after the 3 years mark.
And it was obviously considered terrible from an ecoterrorist perspective. Because a decade back, those computer were simply sent to the trash.
So some smartass came up with a clever idea : send the computers away to some specialized enterprise to be refurbished and resold. That way, you're no longer throwing away e-waste. The retard buying the refurbished computer is. Blame shifted.

Obviously, that scam requires dumb fucks to actually buy the resulting shitputer.
The dumb fuck in question is you.

you say in your post >a decade back. what happened before that decade? what do you think old means? anyway if you manage to get a working thinkpad or other such laptop from pre 2018 for under 30-50 dollars then its not a meme. if you buy a thinkpad from last year for 2600 dollars then you fell for the meme, is that clear enough?
