Since we have a tech purchase regrets thread, let's have a thread about the most satisfying tech purchases.
I'll start with a few:
>i7 2700k - still works, still relevant for most tasks, a friend of mine is still enjoying it, absolute GOAT CPU
>RX 580, got it at MSRP, used it for years with zero issues, maybe the only better GPU is the 1080Ti
>Dell U2724DE - everything just works, picture looks great, high refresh rate, Thunderbolt 3, bunch of other nice features

RX580 and 1080Ti are the goats

>Upgrade RTX2070S to 7800XT
>Needs new power supply, finally go modular, no more fucking molex cables
>Removing Nvidia is best tech decision I made, everything works so much better now
>Use money selling the old card to get M1 Macbook for peanuts, toss worthless old surface tablet with it's shitty encrypted bios in the trash
>Turns out macbook is comfy as fuck
That was a good week.

I also had a GeForce 4 Ti back in the day, for the money it was amazing, and the next generation was so shit that the 4 Ti was still better than most of the FX series.
But the best card from that era is without a doubt the Radeon 9700, I wish I had one.

HP Chromebook.
>buy Google-subsidized Chromebook
>immediately flash coreboot on it
>install my own Linux distro of choice
They're not getting my data out of this shit.

I bought this slut for 16$ about 7 years ago, it's actually come down in price, that's how great it is. Clicks sound good, never fucks up. Would never look at another mouse.

Overclock it to 500Hz. Worked for my random cheap mouse.

Basically all I have because I'm not a retarded cosoomer
>Same mouse since 2017
>Same mechanical keyboard since 2018
>Same motherboard since 2019
>same power supply since 2019
>same RAM since 2019
>same ssd since 2019
>same tower since 2019
Feels good being a smart buyer instead of a retarded consoomer

The Ryzen 9900 CPU
Affordable price, fast as fuck, decent number of cores.

Those $15 logitec mice. The tiny fuckers with dongles.
They don't die. I've had one for 10 years. It's seen three laptops go by. I don't know what tech necromancy they put in in them but I've dropped it countless times too, and it still just works fine.

I don't think I've bought much at all. Sitting behind my battlestation here I probably have easily over 10k sitting in front of me and the only thing I've paid for, out of all of these, is the 43" 4k 120hz ROG screen. Even that I paid for with money I made from selling weed. I order shit for the company I work and then just take it home. I am unable to feel remorse or regret, but maybe for those times I've been caught in my previous thefts, but I learn from my mistakes and now it's harder than ever to prove I've stolen something. But that is the same narcissism making me say this that lead me to become bold and careless. I'll probably be caught again, but this time the owners of the company will take it personally, because they surely would take this level of deception personally.

Out of what I've stolen... I don't know. I haven't bought it with my money so it doesn't feel like I own it. I guess my iPhone 15 Pro is one of the best things I've paid money, but that too was afforded by growing and selling weed. Sorry to boast, I can't help myself.

Well that's what I had, not an i5 2500k.
I wish I bought a 1080 Ti too.
