I'm 23 and autistic. I'm trying to get a CS degree. What jobs can I get that pay well and will let me never have to communicate to anyone?

those are actually the ONLY jobs that are going to be valuable, since everyone turns into a lazy POS. trying to put a robot in between them having to do anything.
that means, people that will actually do stuff related to, or train themselves for this aspect of labor (socializing, confronting someone, facing rejection, arguing) will be the least common
autists used to be cool and novel, now everyone wants to be an autist.
you'll have to salesman max, fortunately it can be pretty fun even for an autist. just get over the rejection aspect and treat it like a game.

well because he's still young, i'm just trying to change his perspective. you can actually be a salesman without ever having to talk to someone, it just helps with authority immensely if they know youre real. probably only so they can punch you/have you arrested it you fuck them over.
but sales takes creativity, ingenuity, discipline, to be able to sell. the best salesman is also an engineer because he knows those 'QoL' things people like and appreciate, and he can implement it. he can turn it into a business after he makes it.
they are complimentary skills, for anyone wanting to create stuff, and that's what programming is.
>>107009875
haha funny thing is, sales people are all assholes but they're not likely to get fired, all depending on their performance. they bring the fucking money in and pay that cunt.
>>107009831
every business in the world is in the business of sales. if you can bring them more money, you're hired. a lot of places will just let you work off of a commission to so you grind and get paid when you sell something, theres no overhead for you in that case, and once the sales done your job is done, so thats comfortable, you move on again and do it again.
you just need a good grasp on psychology, consumer psychology, emotional manipulation, color psychology, neurolingistuic programming i mean it gets deep. copywriting, how to make a good sales landing page. then theres even more autistic sales stuff like analytic tracking, A/B testing. all stemming from the same atmosphere, the optimization of sales and making money.

B2B sales is soul-sucking if you can't flip the switch to enjoy conversation, but it really can be as simple as persistence and following a basic script and schedule like an NPC.
Relational sales is pretty straightforward and easy to learn. You don't even have to enjoy or be skilled at regular peer social interaction to learn to play this game well.
Find their pain, position yourself or your product as the solution to their pain, and orbit their awareness enough for them to remember you exist when it's time for them to solve their problem. That's it.
It doesn't have to be a cutthroat thing at all, people just prefer buying stuff from people they like and remember.
Being autistically genuine and unaware of social norms can actually be an advantage in sales if you know how to use it, you can give off a "won't fuck me over" vibe to normies that wins their trust.
Businesses generally lose nothing on sales people, you're a revenue generator instead of a necessary line item expense. Getting your foot in the door is easy, it's a career with a low barrier to entry and businesses are always hiring.
If you don't fuck it up, that cash-generating position also buys you a lot of leeway to be an absolutely freakish employee, be hated by your coworkers, or even treat colleagues with open contempt.
You keep the lights on for everyone, what are they going to do?

I just don't want to play the game anymore. I would like to do my own thing and having security for it. Is it really that bad to want that? I hate having to talk to anyone because it turns into petty shit if it doesn't already start since everyone is an unhinged psychopath waiting to strike.

you can, but you need to be able to sell your 'genius' as well. your issue seems to stem from self confidence. when you are confident in what you are selling
>something thats actually going to help them
then theres no feelings of insincerity if they say no, or dont like you, you just pity THEM because theyre losing out on your help

check out this internet marketing forum, this subforum specifically. it has the lowest thread count in the forum, why, because of the things i've been saying in the thread. people want to take the path of least resistance, this wont change it will get worse.

>but it can't talk to people

I have some bad news for you. A voice agent with Grok as the LLM is basically capable of replacing every low level tech support and sales person with the right config.

I'm building my own employees, and it will eventually be doing full-cycle sales calls/emails/sms/scheduling/etc. for me.

I have this setup to do basic customer service stuff like reporting an issue, but it's an agent framework with integrations (tools). The in-person (physical) jobs will be around a bit longer, but not that much longer.

We're all screwed if we don't own things.

youre talking crazy. its all years and years away from being implemented.
what you have posted is a gold mine to sell to OTHER businesses, not to use yourself to sell whatever other thing you had.
but that will involve you being a salesman again, back to square one. B2B king.

No. Almost everyone isn't that. Most people just want to understand people around them and get on a do their stuff.
For almost any job you need to communicate. Doesn't mean you need to do it frequently, or to always do it face to face.

You're not going to find a job that has zero communication but the deeper you get down the software stack and the closer to the hardware you get, the more your autistic tendencies will be valuable and tolerated. Stay far FAR away from anything web related. Some potential areas for you:

If youre a turbo autist, you can consider getting into theoretical stuff like algorithm design. Its really hard computer science not the webshit you see everywhere that a jeet with chatgpt can churn out. The problems involves make leetcode hard look easy.
If academia is not your thing since you still need to teach, banks will use your work in trading algos to make bank, defense may have use for the research. This field is likely used to working with autists so that might help

Why would you waste your time on a degree? You WILL be replaced because your oligarch masters literally do not understand or respect labor. Go for a trade like eletrician, carpentry, welding, even truck driving. You can learn computers on your own, colleges don't have some special secret knowledge that only they can unlock for you.
