how do you prevent naughty words
i like it though. discord used to be like this, when it first started. you could give someone a link to a room and they could chat instantly, assigned a guest username. able to register and tie the guest messages to an account if they wanted.

what are you doing now? the easiest is just using an LLM. but only for the first X amount of messages until they get a reputation score.

there are libraries which can do profanity screening
some boil down to simple regex like https://github.com/snguyenthanh/better_profanity

yeah well a reputation score just means you dont trust a random user, but you allow them anonymity because youll just rate them. its how traditional forums worked and fought spam.
you wouldnt be able to do things in succession without having to wait, or post links without being like 'tier 1-2' which just meant you had 20~ posts that werent trash and you were invested in the community.
now for a chat app you dont want to implement it like that, but the same principle applies. timeouts for trying to spam/flood right away. so even an anonymous user (cookie based) can get some sort of authority/reputation/renown.

cute idea but kek you need to do some better checks on what your api accepts, when you pass it a different emoji it spams it full of replacement characters and if you pass it text it works fine
