he is so unbelievably salty about elon musk , thunderfoot has always been a bit of an arrogant prick, but when elon was getting the praise and attention he thinks is undeserved, he literally lost his mind, many of his videos on the topic are so unbelievably petty. He has a major problem with conflating "practical" and "impossible" , things like the hyperloop are impractical, but they are not impossible, and part of the process of development is taking impractical solutions and trying to see if its possible to make them workable.
An intellectually honest person will not deride/dismiss such ideas outright, because there is much left to the unknown, and there could be solutions. That doesn't mean there isn't a place for criticism of outlandish ideas, and he has done good videos are such devices, however what motivates thunderfoot is not protecting the public from snakeoil salesmen as he might portray ,people like thunderfoot see opportunities to criticize others as a way of gassing themselves up, by putting others down , to deal with their own feelings of inadequacy.
and fundamentally this is why thunderfoot is no longer a sane human being, I liked his science videos, the solvated electrons video is really good ,they were all pretty good, but he has let his ego consume him, so he is lost in his bog of elon soup, while everyone else moves on.
