The security of your own account? Someone malicious could trash your ratio using your passkey for a laugh. That's about it. You are on the hook for whatever happens. Best case scenario you just reset all your credentials. Worst case scenario you are banned.

Someone with enough passkeys/torrents (acquired by say running a torrent site and encouraging people to upload their raw torrents from other sites with you) can get all the peering data from the tracker. Then you can have ghost leeching attacks against the site as a whole.

But 2FA being enforced or not won't change this situation even one iota. It doesn't matter if every user has 2FA enabled, if you still encourage all your users to share their torrents rawdog with every tom dick and harry on the internet.

Luminance adds their presentation/tag data into their .torrents when you grab them, and then their upload page pulls this information back out of a torrent if you upload it to a different Luminance site. So they tell their users to upload their .torrents between all the different sites. They tell their users it's okay to do this because luminance strips the passkey on the back-end (lol). This is the same retarded explanation that you can see people saying here (lets not jump to any conclusions here). Naturally a non-retarded person would see that it doesn't matter if stock luminance strips the passkey or discards the torrent file you upload to it or not, it's trivial to make it not do this and instead save these torrents if you have back-end access. So a non-retarded tracker would never encourage their users to share their torrents anywhere.

I do feel kind of mean after picking on luminance staff for this as it's kind of unfair to compare luminance tracker staff to other tracker's staff. All the other trackers staff don't suffer from gooner brain rot, so they generally have a much easier not being retarded.
