Steam and GamePass solved games for most normalfags
Streaming nearly solved videos for normalfags.
Spotify solved music for normalfags.
The only thing normal faggots need to pirate are papers and text books but they don't read anything but novels and Kindle solved that too
basically it's all solved it's now easy to get things for cheap so most people usually do
If only it could have been in a way that would leave normal fags in possession of something but they see that as waste

"Torrents" as in the search interest for various torrent clients on Google etc (yes seriously this is the data people always point to when saying torrenting/piracy is dead) peaked in 2012, "torrents" as in % of all recorded requests overall peaked in iirc 2004. "Torrents" as in raw TB transmitted has only ever been growing and even today it's still accounting for over 10% of all upload traffic worldwide. Just think about what that actually means, 10% of the global data uploaded each year, yes that includes the traffic produced by FAGMAN et al. The people that say torrenting is dead are both retarded and factually wrong it's stronger and larger than ever before.
Remember when rar shut down for two days and people acted like it's the end of torrenting? Yeah I'm still using it to this day for raw bd rips.
That's also just one part of piracy. Consider just how ridiculously large pirated web streaming has become. I thought web streaming peaked in the early 2010s because back then a lot of the big ones shut down or faded into irrelevance but holy fucking shit has it come back with a vengeance. I've recently stumbled upon the larger current players (haven't used web streaming in well over a decade) and it's just objectively easier accessible and all round better in terms of stream quality and user experience than it ever was. Oh and I found those sites because the normalfag parents of a friend asked me about them, that's how fucking large they've become, 50-60 year olds using illegal web streaming because it's more convenient than netflix or hulu or whatever.
You can find a cracked copy of literally any game on Google.
There are more one click hosters than ever before with higher bandwidth and free upload limits than I would've ever dreamt of 25 years ago.
This is the golden fucking age of piracy if you aren't loading up on everything you can get your hands on right now what the fuck are you even doing?

Trvke. Every variable is in place right now. Unlimited fast internet for dirt cheap, cheap storage, millions of trackers, shit gets ripped and uploaded as soon as it's released. I don't even prioritize media slop in my archiving but it's so easy I just throw it in anyway. Shit I will never even watch because why the fuck not

Yeah this. I've been downloading dozens of terabytes worth of anime, tv series and movie BD rips to a seedbox that are slowly transferring to my local jellyfin pool.
An 8-12TB HDD costs almost nothing and even a high capacity (20TB+) one will only set you back a few hundred bucks. If you're fine with netflix level quality that comes out to a literal year worth of video runtime for a 20TB HDD. Not a year worth of entertainment, no, watching movies non stop for 365 days with no piss, sleep or work breaks.
Even if you go for raw BD rips like me you will struggle for a while filling up a single 20TB HDD never mind the fact that a normal PC can now easily hold 120TB+ worth of storage just by itself.
I haven't downloaded many animes from the seedbox yet but I'm already at 51 entries almost all of which are raw BD rips and it's only 4.8TB.
If you go for reencodes you could probably fit the 100 best rated animes of all time, 250 best movies and 25 best TV series of all time on a single HDD.
I am not saying you need to build your own library of Alexandria but I guarantee you will regret not downloading at least the shit you are interested in at some point in the probably nearer future than any of us want to imagine.
It's obvious this golden age won't last forever, nothing good ever does, so set sail now me hearties.

the fuck you're talking about? piracy is very much alive and well.
I was here 20+ years ago at the peak of napster/emule/limewire/bbs and the current piracy landscape is healthier and better than ever

I'm of the same mentality here anon, we're headed into a dystopian dark age of shit very soon. I am making sure to grab everything I actually care about, mostly political/historical stuff but the media is a bonus especially before AI pollutes the well all to shit and they start retconning reality.
