I switched to Linux during college and then back to Windows a few ago when I was finishing graduate school and I needed Microsoft Word for my resume and Adobe Acrobat for filling out PDF forms. I suspect a lot of people pushing the “switch to Linux!” dogma are younger, don’t need a stable OS, and want to make their computer a hobby. Nothing wrong with this, but Linux isn’t a great desktop OS in my experience.

what the fuck you talking about? There's programs to fill PDFs on Linux. Hell, even on windows Adobe is not really necessary.

Tell me specifically what you tried to install and what went wrong.

You can run the entire MS office suite on Linux, now. Sorry. Gonna have to find a new bitch to gripe, I guess.
