I like Edge because it supports uBlock Origin and vertical tabs.

chrome actually did something useful, make a clean browser with great integration to google and then upcoming gmail by that time. Both great services.
Edge integrates with shitty ms clones and is far from clean, it nags you, annoys you, gets in your way, isn't really faster than any other chromium clone, has bugs, has an inconsistent UI, feels weird to use.
Chrome was the first, edge is just another chrome clone made after 200 other browsers did the same.

If you made the UI identical between all web browsers I wouldn't be able to tell the difference

Whatever tricks it did, it worked, that's why people sticked with it. Edge had something similar at first, announcing itself as an ungoogled chromium but better, faster and cleaner. And it worked. But stupidly soon, sooner than ms could get a real user base; they started to add bloat. And when people left they started to nag and annoy like a retard baby, so that people would use it.
MS really is a failure of a company in every regard. Kept afloat only because they're basically the government now.

I don't mind edge specifically when I play video games. You can browse edge from the "Win+G" overlay and then pin the window to be on top of your game.

Just use edge (with bing), don't use other spyware browsers like Google Chrome or Opera, your keystrokes are already being recorded and you are feeding into Microsoft anyway.

Just use safari, keep feeding into Apple, don't use google search... limit your data to Apple only.

Use open source browsers like Zen and Librewolf or plain firefox with adjusted settings, try not to feed into any proprietary search engines. Open source chromium as backup.

I actually run it on linux, I have to use a lot of Microsoft portals and the authentication flows all just werk, which is useful for me. I already sold my soul to MS so there's no need for me to sell it to Google as well, so Chrome can suck it.
Firefox lol. Ungoogled-chromium - I don't have time to tinker.

Actually it is pretty good. I'd never actually use it myself because it's microsoft + chrome so I have 0 reason to, but it certainly is usable and has some cool features.

I think it's a lot cleaner once you disable the bloat. Looks less childish. Also like the tabgrouping better. Plus it syncs with Edge on my ios/android devices. It still supports ublock-origin. iOS browsers support the lite version. Android the full origin as well. Can't say the same for chrome.

1. Being chromium
2. Text rendering
3. Polished vertical tabs
4. Native configuration on windows (through the fucking group policy kek) so it can't easily be "corrected" by an update
5. One less browser on your shitposting machine
etc.

I only use firefox because adblocker works on it.
Edge allows some youtube ads occasionally, so i dropped it.

I use it everywhere, Linux, Windows and Android. Honestly the white man's choice.

Edge's sole redeeming factor of any kind is being able to install uBlock.
But otherwise, why bother? Firefox just works, makes troons on /g/ seethe, too.
