Wouldn't I, as a white person, want to develop Java skills so I can have an advantage compared to all the third worlders writing it and then have an easier time getting a job?

any programmer should have at least some experience in at least one of the managed-memory languages popular in the corporate world (java, c#), regardless of what the jeets are doing

like the other anon said you should develop java skills regardless of what they're doing. but you shouldn't expect to actually gain an advantage from developing these skills. there are two reasons for this. the first reason is that there's an insane amount of indians to compete with. not only that, but they can work for pennies on the dollar, especially if they're off-shored from india where the living standards are much worse
the second reason is that indians that manage to fall upwards into positions of power just hire more indians
