Microsoft shills are desperately trying to control the narrative and keep people from switching away from their garbage OS during a pivotal moment when Microsoft is forcing people (much to their dismay) to switch to new, downgraded version of Windows.

It’s actually far worse than that.
M$ uses automated tools to detect software issues.
They are probably accidentally allowing their AI to figure out how to bypass those checks by now.
ML algorithms WILL find weird loopholes and shortcuts that humans usually wouldn’t detect.
They take the path of least resistance with no sense of morals or, well, anything.
If an AI finds a way to destabilize a program without triggering QA checks while still accomplishing its programmed goal, it will do it every time.

have you used windows 11? it's an absolute resource devouring dumpster fire. I installed it on my sister's PC yesterday because her old win10 install went into blue screen bootloop hell out of nowhere. on the fresh install the fans were screaming for no reason and it kept having little freezes every 5 minutes. I ended up just putting win10 back on it and everything's fine again.
>>107085145
I have a dev job and use arch, idk why people say it's bad for "real work" lol, never had an issue. My coworkers who don't use linux use WSL because doing real work on windows is a pain otherwise. im also not a gaymer so idk, maybe if i wasn't employed I'd prefer windows.

open sores mindset in a nutshell
btw i can run Winamp 1.0 from 1997 out of the box on my Windows machine with one double click, meanwhile to run a software from 1997 on Linux you need 80GB of broken libs (if you can find them) and dependencies.

thats kinda ironic you mentioned Winamp desu, poor choice of an example on your part.

pretty sure any software from windows 95 or 98 or xp runs now better with wine than on windows 10.

Also, a lot of linux foss apps now use appimage, which should be a similar solution to the .exe doble click wintard argument.

On paper yes. But in reality not so much because Linux does not maintain any ABI compatibility.
Neither does OpenBSD. FreeBSD, however, does.

doesnt matter when everything just works. proof: the overwhelming marketshare of Windows.

if Linux was good as a desktop OS then more people would use it. it's that simple.

only the mentally ill would duct tape a dozen buggy UI systems on a server OS and try to sell it as productive as a Windows11 pc or Mac. it's just lies as untrue as their genders.
