the androids in Detroit Become Human could feel fear and pain and one of the characters you play as is such a robot who was purchased specifically to get beat up, with the opening sequence being being taken out of a store as a replacement for one that was completely destroyed in a drunken fit

the other characters were a robot that is able to feel vengeful and theres a segment in a scrap yard where he does seem to feel "pain", and a cop robot that is too autistic to feel fear. but because ol david cage is a hack he never makes it really clear if these feelings are literally that the robots were designed/built to actually feel pain, or if they just have emotions that make it seem so but they dont actually have nervous systems since in some scenes they get fucked UP and don't seem to really care and just keep coming like a Terminator but in others they writhe and moan like humans do even if they haven't achieved sentience yet
