Already has, just type what you want, what could be simpler and more extensible? With this you could take an entire box, name it, and call it's functionality like that.
GUIs are a local minimum. An AI can and should edit video for you according to a simple spec or "prompt". If you want to edit video as an artistic exercise that's fine but it's not the most efficient way.

everything has peaked. we've optimized every product out there from aggressive a/b testing. there is no more technical constraints on anything either. the only changes in the future will be superficial merry go round ones to justify peoples jobs.

UI is constantly evolving. We are in an era of incredible innovation. They consistently invent knew and novel ways of making it worse in ways previously not even conceivable. Yes, UI will evolve beyond this, and whatever it becomes, it will be horrific in ways we cannot yet imagine.

Yes. They will remove the opaque backgrounds and make everything transparent like glass. Even though this would be absolutely stupid for legibility.
Count on it.
You don't need to read the screen anyway, bot. Just let the AI assistant handle everything. Talk to your phone. It will help you. You don't need to be informed of your unit's operational ability.

that's just bloat that unnecessarily stresses your system. This is the reason why we can't have laptops with a battery life of 30+ hours, even though in the last two decades absolute battery capacity has been multiplied.
